Fixed Stations
In addition to the U.S. television networks mentioned previously, SSI has constructed other fixed
facilities both inside and outside of the United States, including a 10-meter fully redundant INTELSAT CBand
station for Corporación TELEVEN in Caracas, Venezuela, fixed satellite uplink and broadcast facilities
for TVB (USA’s) Chinese-language “Jade” Channel in Los Angeles, California, and a full-service television broadcast facility for China Telecom’s International Earth Station in Guangzhou, China.
The Company has provided educational satellite facilities throughout the United States, constructing earth stations for learning institutions such as the Kentucky Educational Television Network (KETV), Nebraska Education Television Commission (NETV), University of California at San Diego (USCD-TV), and the Public School System of Orange County in Orlando, Florida. These earth stations are used for the delivery of instruction to remote classrooms around the country.
